Our Performance
When LPLC began in 1986, we insured 6,000 Victorian solicitor practitioners. We now insure approximately 15,000 solicitor practitioners, which includes the majority of national firms.
LPLC insures approximately 1,800 barrister practitioners, who joined the LPLC on 1 July 2005.

The LPLC is a public authority and is the only statutory authority of its kind in Australia. It reports to both the Attorney-General and the Minister for Finance. The benefits LPLC can deliver to legal practitioners, as well as to consumers of legal services, have been recognized and endorsed by the Victorian Government following the Price Waterhouse Coopers' review in 2004.
